Press Release in Support of Mobilized French Workers

The EIEUSRPM and the Malaysian ST Micro Union support the strike launched by French workers.

The EIEUSRPM wants to show its entire solidarity with the workers of Crolles, in France, on strike for two weeks now, against the inequal wealth repartition within ST Micro company.

We completely support the mobilization of French workers who see their interest rate bonuses unfairly decreased of 43% whereas the management choose to increase by 150 millions dollars the sharholders dividend rate, i.e. 47% increase.

After the unsuccessful negociations of last Thursday and Friday April 2nd-3rd, the EIEUSRPM completely support the mobilization of French workers that started again on this Tuesday noon as well as all their rightful claims :
– Setting up of a 450€ bonus to compensate the decrease of the interest bonus
– General salary raise of 150€
– Tenure of the irregular workers

On the Malaysian sites we also observe a blowback of workers rights and working conditions :

b. Demanding 4 hours for Public Holiday allowance , as previous.
